Designer – Born in Nantes, a city in France known for many things including LU Biscuits, a giant elephant (recently built for the city) and Muscadet, a traditional french dry white wine (her father happens to be a Muscadet producer and we are still waiting for her to bring a fresh case to the office).
Audrey studied graphic design at Estienne in Paris and at the Design School of Rhone-Alpes, in Lyon, where she met Arnaud Mercier at a workshop he was teaching. She also spend a few months in Denmark, studying at the Design School of Kolding. Much of Audrey's experience is in print and identity design, working across different media such as books, posters and objects. Illustration, photography and typeface play a special role in her work. Before returning to Paris to work for AREA 17, she worked freelancer at MeMo Publishing House and Cadi, a design magazine.
Audrey's other passion is cinema and more specifically, the interaction between the moving image and the static page. Her final project in design school was a conceptual design translation of literary film analysis on the films of David Lynch. She had also studied cinema at Paris 7 Denis Diderot University.
Audrey has a brief encounter with David Lynch in a movie cinema in Lyon. Fumbling for words, she said to him "We've met before, haven't we." and Lynch said, "I don't think so. Where was it you think we met?" "At your house. Don't you remember?" she replied. "No. No, I don't. Are you sure?" he said with a curious look. "Of course. As a mater of fact, I'm there right now." she said matter-of-factly as he looked befuddled. "What do you mean? You're where right now?" "At your house." "That's crazy, man." And to this she replied, "Call me. Dial your number. Go ahead."
