Project manager – After finishing her masters in English Linguistics & Didactics at Marc Bloch University (Strasbourg, France) she headed out to the United States to teach French while studying French Linguistics in Multimedia at Indiana University. While in Ohio (gotcha, Indiana), Claire took a course in Interactive Design which lead to her desire to pursue interactive technologies further. She then returned to France to study Interactive Project Management at the University of Paris 8.
Claire has five years of interactive project management experience. She had worked at Marc Bloch University where she carried out research on 'Technology & the Learning Process', while managing projects for e-learning platforms. She went on to project manage the creation of educational software at Dada Media. During this period she also wrote video games scenarios for Mindscape and Lexis Numerique in Paris.
Prior to working for AREA 17, Claire was a project manager at Reflex Interactive and produced websites, e-shops, intranets, newsletters and communication campaigns for clients such as L'Oréal, Canal+, Moët & Chandon, Longchamp, Les Galeries Lafayette, Citroën, Renault, Breast Cancer Foundation in France (La Ligue contre le cancer) and luxury hotels.
Claire is licensed to teach French as a foreign language, is the lead singer for a band called Little Red Lauter and secretly prefers low-tech things such as Super-8 films, polaroids and 4-track recordings.
