The inaugural print edition of Slash Magazine

On October 23rd, Slash launched the first issue of its annual print magazine at The Chalet Society, a new art venue in Paris. Started by Marc-Olivier Wahler, former Director and Chief Curator of Le Palais de Tokyo, The Chalet Society is located in an old school on boulevard Raspail in Paris.

For its opening, The Society Chalet presented 500 works from the Museum of Everything, shown in France for the first time after exhibiting at the Tate Modern and Selfridges in London, Museum Agnelli in Italy and Garage Center for Contemporary Culture in Moscow. Slash magazine’s supplement is dedicated to the venue and the exhibit.

For the launch of the magazine, guests were granted access to the exhibition and received a hand-numbered copy of the magazine. The evening was a success with 400 people in attendance including some of the most prestigious art venues in Paris.

A true collector’s item, Slash magazine revives the best of the 2011-2012 Paris art season through a selection of articles published throughout the year on The magazine was produced by Slash founder Jeane Derome, Editor-in-Chief Guillaume Benoit and AREA 17 art director Audrey Templier.
