George was born and raised outside of Philadelphia in Berwyn, PA, and lived there until attending college at the University of Richmond/Robins School of Business, where he majored in Marketing and minored in Studio Art. He later began freelancing for web/design projects, which led him to Stockholm Sweden, where he attended Hyper Island, the distinguished international institute known for cultivating new, enterprising talent in the digital sphere.

It was while following this path that George soon began his love affair with Interactive Design, and in particular, User Experience. A self-proclaimed “staunch defender of the user”, George’s beliefs lined up perfectly with the sensibilities of AREA 17, where he came to contribute as a UX design intern, and later joined the team full-time as Information Architect.
