Biography
Sara Berks
Sara Berks has been working as a designer for the past five years in New York. After a brief stint at Northeastern University, she ultimately received her BFA in graphic design from the School of Visual Arts in New York City. She got her start in the design world at Behance, where she first began to learn web and interactive design. Just prior to joining AREA 17, she freelanced for branding studios Red Antler and Apartment One, on clients including Daily Candy and One Kings Lane.
Sara grew up in a small town on the coast of Connecticut resulting in her inability to be away from large bodies of water for extended periods of time. She spends her spare time drawing patterns, biking everywhere, going on as many adventures as possible, and collecting postcards from her travels. She hopes to one day make it to every continent (except for maybe Antarctica).
