Biography
Kemp Attwood
Kemp joins AREA 17 from Portland, Oregon, a city he loves for it’s bounty of local coffee roasters, micro-breweries and good, friendly folk. At Second Story Interactive Studios he created various websites and museum installations for clients at the National Geographic Society, the Smithsonian Institution and the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum.
Prior to Second Story, his work on interactive storytelling and rich-media projects at the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation’s Radio 3 garnered awards from Communication Arts, the Art Directors Club and the New York Festivals awards.
In 1999, Kemp began his career working with an international roster of designers at Blast Radius in Vancouver, Canada, designing screen-based projects for Jumpman 23, the Sci Fi Channel and Nike.
Kemp has a B.A. in Creative Writing and Literature from York University and a Post-Diploma Certificate in New Media Design from the Bell Center for Creative Communications, both in Toronto, Canada.
